We are PULSE – a music exchange program between South Africa and Norway. Since 2001 over 200 participants have taken part in the program, ranging from musicians, teachers, performers, music therapists, conductors and youth workers.
Empower young people through music and share knowledge and ideas across borders,
contributing to new perspectives and better understanding between people and cultures.

Through our exchange program, we have reached a wide range of people – from young musicians to local communities and partner organizations. We have facilitated music and dance education, helped band leaders gain music accreditation, and given participants the chance to explore the world.
The program has opened doors to new opportunities — from careers in police and military bands to professional growth and community engagement — while fostering youth development, cultural exchange, and self-belief.
